Eye lash problems, blepharitis

Blepharitis is a condition where the lid margin (point where lashes join the eyelid), becomes irritated and red.  The margin often has flaky skin collecting off it and there can be oily deposits.  A regular cleaning routine will help, but an optometrist should be consulted

Ingrowing eyelashes will also cause a red eye.  Your optometrist can remove eyelashes which have turned in and are scratching the eye
