Lumps and bumps / tumours

As with any part of the body, the eye can develop lumps and bumps on any surface, including the lids.  If these have blood vessels, they will appear pink or red.  Usually these lumps and bumps cause no problems, but can be removed for cosemtc reasons, or if they are affecting the blink.  If however, you notice a lump on the eye that has changed colour or size recently (within the past year), you should get it checked by your optometrist
